Some of us work real hard with the locals and some of us watch.
A real crew of workers taking a moment for a rare picture
And sometimes we have to minister to each other when we don't feel so good.

The Cross at Hope Center

A statue of Lennin once stood here at the Hope Center but now a Cross is in it's place.

Only 4 more days until our team departs for Ukraine to work at the Hope Center in Kerch, Ukraine on the Crimea at the very eastern part of the country. There will 13 of us heading our from various parts of the U.S. heading to Amsterdam and then on to Kiev, then Simferpol and finally to the camp in Kerch. We will be met at the camp by our partners there who have been preparing the way the past few weeks for our arrival. We will be preparing the camp for the summer when over 600 young people from the orphanages in Ukraine will come for 10 days to enjoy an incredible experience that they normally don't get to have. There will be times of Bible lessons, games and crafts, going to the Black Sea and meeting some incredible people who love them from the bottom of their hearts. Our team will be getting the facilities ready for them to enjoy the time at the camp. We will also be having some sessions with the ladies in the area and also visiting some of the orphanages and working with the children over the next couple of weeks.
I hope that you will pray with us for this trip for safety, good health, encouragement for the local Ukrainian believers that we work with and the outreach to the community around the camp that they will see Jesus in us. Pray also for team members coming this summer as we need more friends to join us on the teams to minister to these incredible kids and staff. Bring your family, friends, classmates, youth groups or others. You will be blessed and will be a blessing to others.
Please feel free to pass this blog along to others and check back daily to see what we are doing. If you do not see an update each day it is probably because our network is down at the camp.

God bless.
