Women's meeting

The wonderfully creative women on the work team literally transformed a room in one of the wards, complete with renovated curtains hot off the sewing machine press and beautifully decorated tables to welcome the Kerch ladies. The Lord's timing and plans are always perfect; we used every available space in the room for tables and seating, not knowing how many ladies to expect, and every spot was filled! We had some special music from some of the local believers, some poetry recitations, and then a great message of healing and hope from Nancy Cullen. We ended our time together in prayer, and several ladies asked for special prayer following the meeting as well. As the women left, each one received a Bible. We've invited anyone who would like to come Monday afternoon to pray, share, and just spend time together. It's always wonderful to see that no matter where we live, what language we speak, there is an instant bond between sisters in Christ! Several of the ladies shared their particularly difficult struggles; please pray for these women, that the Lord will strengthen them, heal inner wounds and mend relationships. All in all, it was a truly sweet time, and we hope that many of them will return on Monday so we can spend more time together. We're looking forward to a special church service downtown tomorrow. One of the helpers here is a part of the drama group who will take part in the service. Worshiping with our "family" around the world is always a highlight of any trip, so we look forward to another special day in Kerch.

It was wonderful to hear of your time with the ladies today. I know it was a blessing to all who were ministered to, including all of you! Praying for you all.
